Werring Contemporary invites you to an opening reception celebrating guest artist Andrea Baldeck and her newest photographic series, Tidelines. Working in luminous black and white, Baldeck transforms fragments of shells and organic forms into powerful compositions that reveal the quiet architecture of the natural world. Through careful observation and refined tonal control, the photographs elevate ordinary marine remnants into images that feel both intimate and monumental.
On view alongside Tidelines, representational painter Elizabeth Wilson will debut several new works that reflect her attentive study of landscape and form. Wilson’s paintings move fluidly between closely observed detail and broader atmospheric passages. From the rolling countryside of the United Kingdom to intimate studies of the human eye, her work explores how perception and place shape the act of seeing.
