Werring Contemporary is pleased to present a new iteration of Disrupted Realism, co-curated by gallery director Vanessa Werring and writer and curator John Seed.
Bringing together 16 highly accomplished painters, the exhibition examines how contemporary artists are expanding the language of realism. Through fragmented figures, shifting perspectives, altered spaces, and expressive approaches to form, these artists move beyond straightforward representation to explore the complexities of perception, identity, and lived experience.
Featured artists include Joseph Adolphe, Scott Conary, Valerio D’Ospina, Kerry Dunn, Mark Engel, Santiago Galeas, Bahri Genc, Kirsten Reiner Hansen, Tom Judd, Alex Kanevsky, Victoria Koursaros, Alyssa Monks, Gage Opdenbrouw, Bruce Samuelson, Deborah Scott, and William Wray.
