WERRING CONTEMPORARY
Richard Ranck is a Philadelphia based artist known for his abstract paintings and sculptures. He has been active in the art scene for over four decades exhibiting his work in various locations including Philadelphia Washington DC New York, Maine, Connecticut, New Jersey and Harrisburg ranks work often explores themes of spirituality in the unseen, drawing inspiration from early cultures and artists like Guston, Kieffer, Twombly and Michelangelo. His approach to art is characterized by brevity whimsy, and a focus on the surface with a particular emphasis on the use of chisels to express form.
